Logistics giant Pall-Ex has teamed up with The Algorithm People to accelerate its future innovation
Key Savings & Efficiency Gains
- Commercial benefits: Reduced fuel usage, shift time and increased productivity
- Productivity gains: Anticipated 20% when full optimisation is implemented
- Environmental and sustainability: Reduced emissions and Co2
- Other efficiencies: Route compliance and accurate ETAs
The Leicestershire-based pallet distribution network is partnering with The Algorithm People, a transport optimisation specialist who deliver a suite of products and services called Optimize, designed to provide optimisation, decarbonisation and innovation to fleet operators, using powerful algorithms based upon artificial intelligence.
Pall-Ex Group will be utilising Optimize to help deliver its NexusETA project, the latest addition to its Nexus freight tracking software that will be able to calculate estimated time of arrival, providing a delivery time window to its customers and the recipients of the freight.
The Algorithm People have been selected to help deliver this project after an extensive “Request for Proposal” and due diligence process, in which it recorded the best results on specifically measured success criteria. Its technology roadmap will enable Pall-Ex Group to not only deliver the first phase of NexusETA, but also support its future vision and objectives.
Dave Dunhill, Chief Technology Officer at Pall-Ex Group, commented: “NexusETA is a significant project that will deliver a magnitude of benefits to our partners, members and customers. I am delighted to be partnering with such an innovative technology organisation as The Algorithm People on this project.
“In addition, their appetite to succeed and be a part of the Pall-Ex Group technology journey was also a deciding factor.”
Colin Ferguson, CEO at The Algorithm People, added: “We are proud to be supporting Pall-Ex Group in delivering their vision for the next addition to Nexus.
“Our algorithms will help to provide an innovative solution for the business, bringing major benefits to customers by giving them a more specific indicator of when their goods are due to arrive.”
