Daimler Truck UK Limited – Aftersales Dealer Development Manager
Location: Field Based - South Salary: Competitive, DOE + Benefits + car allowance Contract: Full-time, permanent
The role
DEKRA have an exciting opportunity for an Aftersales Dealer Development Manager to join the Daimler Truck UK Limited aftersales improvement programme.
You will be responsible for providing aftersales coaching to the DTUK network, delivering expertise in aftersales process delivery and management in line with DTUK service processes.
This is a key role working with one of our major clients and as such you will be required to influence change at all levels within the business in support of delivering the programme aims, objectives, key performance improvement measures and desired return on investment.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Regular liaison with DTUK Project Manager, DEKRA project manager and other stakeholders
- Recognise, report and resolve on process shortfalls, departmental concerns and management shortfalls
- Support the DTUK Project Manager in the achievement of project outcomes
- Create realistic and achievable implementation plans
- Coach Dealer Management in their role in the new way of working
- Coach Supervisors, Technicians and workshop support staff in their new roles
- Support the effective use of integrated DMS and manufacturer systems
- Enthusiastically support the delivery of sustained process and behavioural change
Skills, knowledge and qualifications
- Experience of performance management
- Assertive and communicative approach
- Strong knowledge and experience of workshop daily operations and aftersales process
- High degree of proactive input, planning, ownership and responsibility for the financial and operational outcomes of the project
- An automotive aftersales background
- Familiar with DMS system
- Knowledgeable in change management methodologies
- Able to train and coach dealer staff and management to change their process and ways of working
- Have the ability to rapidly build personal relationships
- Able to create engagement and commitment
- An analytical approach and be an advocate of best practice
- A consultative and assertive approach to coaching and change management
- High degree of proactive input, planning, ownership and responsibility for the financial and operational outcomes of the project
Customer service and teamwork
- To provide professional and effective services to internal and / or external customers, to meet customer expectations.
- To communicate courteously with internal and / or external customers by telephone, email and face to face, building positive relationships, responding to and progressing issues and queries to a successful conclusion at the earliest time.

Development
Development in this varied role could extend to taking on more responsibility within DEKRA and its aftersales team. Development within the company in this or other roles will be dependent on the commercial needs of the business and the personal ability and drive of the job holder.

Mechanic/Vehicle Inspector
Location: Field Based role. Locations all across the UK! - Representing DEKRA Automotive Limited delivering vehicle inspections at the clients’ address.
- Completing and delivering inspection reports after each visit.
- Supporting the Operations Manager in piloting new initiatives or programmes.
- Completing cosmetic vehicle inspections of bodywork condition, identifying substandard repairs.
- Completing and delivering OEM dealer audit assessments reports.
- Proven mechanical experience in formal vehicle maintenance, servicing or MOT.
- Desired however not essential A City & Guilds Level 3 or an NVW Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance.
- Preferably a member of the IMI (Institute of Motor Industry) or IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers).
- Strong team working skills with the ability to contribute to the development of new procedures to improve the performance of the business.
Technical Automotive Warranty Assessor – Commercial Vehicles

Automotive Standards Auditors
Location: Scotland and Midlands. Contract: Associate Hourly Rate: National minimum wage to £25 per hour, depending on experience.
- Possess a recognised auditing qualification and experience.
- Should be well presented, articulate and possess excellent communication skills.
- Will have a keen attention to detail and a methodical approach in a face paced environment.
- Will be able to adhere to set processes and procedures.
- Have the ability to communicate with all levels of dealership staff including senior managers.
- Should be personable, approachable and have natural relationship building skills.
- Are highly reliable and trustworthy.
- Have ability and experience in preparing and presenting concise, accurate reports.
- Will be able to meet set deadline expectations.
- Experience in an automotive dealership environment would be advantageous.
- Must be willing to travel up to two hours from home location.
- High level of computer literacy with the ability to use web-based platforms to generate high quality outputs for submission in line with defined service delivery standards.
Vehicle Inspector (Self-Employed / Zero Hour Contract/ Associate)
Location: Edinburgh/Aberdeen, Manchester, Carlisle, Peterborough/Cambridge, and Wales Contract: Zero Hour Contract / Self-Employed / Associate Salary: Day rate offering up to £160
